Seth Berger is the Bubble Boy

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Seth Berger
Seth Berger

Steve Watts raised to 15,000 from early position and Seth Berger moved all in from the button for 33,500 in chips. Watts called with {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and needed to improve if he was going to burst the bubble, as Berger held {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}.

On the {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop, Berger already had a big sweat as any club would send him to the rail in 28th place. The {7-Spades} on the turn now also delivered an additional gutshot and the {9-Diamonds} on the river completed his misery. All remaining players are now guaranteed at least €3,600 and there is a quick break for the redraw of the last three tables.

Bubble Time

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Michel Mumuzic had previously doubled up with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} against the {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} of Alexander Lakhov but that didn't last long. Mumuzic was all in and at risk again with {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} against the {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} of Lakhov. The board was a roller coaster: On the {6-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Clubs} flop nothing changed, Mumuzic then took the lead on the {A-Clubs} turn but the {Q-Diamonds} river awarded the pot to Lakhov.

Ari Engel Sent to the Rail

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

A short stacked Alan "Ari" Engel has been eliminated after three-bet shoving with {K-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and was called by initial raiser Ankush Mandavia with {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {4-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} and Engel was eliminated in 29th place.

Triple Up for Yan

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

[Removed:17] was all in for 52,500 and got called by both Zo Karim and Alexander Lakhov. They checked down the board of {K-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Karim had ace high with {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Lakhov had that beat with {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} but Yan scooped the triple up with {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}.

Golden Fold by Goulder

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Niclas Adolfsson raised, Alex Goulder three-bet and Jakub Mroczek four-bet all in. Adolfsson called and Goulder tanked for minutes before mucking pocket queens. Mroczek had {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} and did spike a set, however Adolfsson did so as well with {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} on a board of {9-Diamonds} ]8d] {J-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}.

Yan Picks the Wrong Spot to Bluff

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

[Removed:17] three-bet preflop and then barreled all three streets of a {8-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {3-Clubs} board against start-of-the-day chip leader Alexander Lakhov. "MissOracle" moved all in after the river and Lakhov called off with {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}, the online grinder had to show {7-Hearts} {10-Hearts} for a busted open ended straight draw and the next monster pot on table 80 created a hell of a buzz.

So Many Pocket Aces

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

Jason Wheeler busted in a massive pot with pocket kings against the pocket aces of Zo Karim and then Hamdam Shakib ran with {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts} into the {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} of Ankush Mandavia. Of course the elimination didn't occur without a sweat, as the {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} delivered a flush draw. The {4-Spades} on the river was a blank though and the German was out.

Down to 33 Players

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Alin Grasu was all in with {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} and couldn't improve against the pocket tens of Stephen Chidwick. Just prior to this, a very short stacked Sergio Cabrera lost his last chips with {A-} {K-} versus the {A-} {6-} of Vladimir Malak.

Czerwinski's Kings get Cracked as Well

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Krzysztof Czerwinski
Krzysztof Czerwinski

Joining the action on a flop of {J-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Diamonds}, Vladimir Malak check-called a bet of 20,000 and then check-raised all in after the {9-Spades} on the turn. Krzysztof Czerwinski had fired a second barrel worth 53,000 and called all in for what looked like 150,000 with {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. Malak was behind with {J-Spades} {10-Spades} but the dealer came to the rescue in the form of the {7-Spades} on the river.
