Sperling Short

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

After a preflop rising war, the short stack next to Fabio Sperling was all in and the German moved all in over the top to send all other players out of the hand. Sperling's {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} couldn't get there against {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} on a board of {2-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} {7-Spades} and the German is now really short.

Below are some further chip counts of the secondary tournament area.

Peters Sends van Morckhoven to the Rail

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

In one of the last few hands before the break, Tobias Peters sent Roland van Morckhoven to the rail. The Dutchman had flopped a set of fives and raised the continuation bet of his opponent from 2,600 to 6,200 before calling the all in. Van Morckhoven committed his last chips with {5-} {7-} for a pair of fives only and was out of the door two blanks later.

Bosmans Busts Montury

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

While the full betting action is unknown, Jean Montury's elimination has been confirmed by Pieter de Korver, Bart Lybaert and ultimately Pieter Bosmans. It was the latter who had a flopped a set of sevens and Montury shoved the {10-} {7-} {4-} {9-} turn with pocket queens. Bosmans called and completed a full house with another ten on the river.

Also out: Johnny Nedved.

Vanzieleghem Bust; Baltaci Thriving

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Christiaan Vanzieleghem's seat is occupied by another player and the Belgian was already down to less than 5,000 chips previously, which has since been reduced to zero. Chip leader at his former table is Dutchman Firat Baltaci, who should be second in chips overall right now.

Hussin Busts Kars in Cruel Fashion

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Joining the action on a flop of {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Spades} and seeing a bet of 4,700 by Stephan Hussin, Gert Kars moved all in for just over 11,000 chips. Hussin tank-called with {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} and Kars was looking for a double up with the {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The {A-Spades} turn and ]4s] river however completed a runner runner flush for Hussin to score the knockout.

At the same table is also Jonas Lauck with more than double the starting stack.
