Captain Tom in Control

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

A short-stacked player moved all in from the hijack seat, the player on the button made the call, and Captain Tom Franklin called from the big blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Franklin check-called a bet of 500 from the player on the button. The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Captain Tom open-shoved. The player in the button mucked his cards, showing a jack as he folded, and Franklin tabled {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The all in player turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and walked away as he was drawing dead.

Big Blind Special for Williams

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player in early position raised to 250 and got two callers, Kevin Williams called in the big blind as well. On the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{A-} flop, Williams check-raised to 1,700 and the initial raiser called after putting in 500. One of the other players had called the 500 but folded when the Brit raised.

On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Williams bet 2,500 and called the all in of the opponent with {7-Spades}{3-Spades}. The other player had {A-}{J-} and the {10-Spades} river was a blank.

Butzhammer Gets There

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Thomas Butzhammer may have suffered a draw of his German team to Ghana not that long ago, but he just got there in this event for a nice start. After a raise to 250 from the cutoff, Butzhammer called one seat over and the small blind three-bet to 750. Both players called as well to see the {A-}{7-}{9-} flop, which was checked around.

On the {3-Hearts} turn a second heart popped up and the small blind bet 1,000. Butzhammer moved all in for what looked like 3,200 and the small blind called while the other player reluctantly folded. Butzhammer showed the {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and was facing pocket aces only to bink the {J-} on the river.
