Luther Drags Five-Bet Pot

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Nikita Luther
Nikita Luther

A player opened in middle to 30,000 before Nikita Luther three-bet to 105,000 in the cutoff. The small blind put in a four-bet to 285,000, forcing the middle position out of the hand.

The action was back Luther as she was deciding what to do, and the small blind stared her down. Eventually, Luther put in another raise to 500,000 and the small blind called.

The dealer fanned a flop of 753, and the small blind check-called a bet of 200,000 from Luther.

When the Q fell on the turn, the small blind checked once more before Luther announced all in. The small blind asked for a count and went deep into the tank. The dealer let him know it was 1,300,000, covering his stack of about 1,100,000. After about three minutes, a tablemate called the clock, and the floor came with a countdown. At the end of the 30-second countdown, he still had not acted so his hand was ruled dead, sending the pot to Luther.
