Top-Top for Trif

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The pot stood at approximately 120,000 with two players looking at a board that read 1086.

A player in middle position checked the action over to Calin Trif in the hijack. Trif bet out for 65,000 only to be met by a raise to 165,000 by his opponent.

Trif responded with a three-bet jam for his remaining 480,000 and his opponent called.

Calin Trif: A10
Middle Position: 99

The board ran out with the 2 and the 4 allowing Trif to claim this pot.

Tabali Sends Polk to the Rail

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Doug Polk
Doug Polk

Keanu Tabali opened to 30,000 from early position and Doug Polk defended his big blind.

Polk checked the J108 flop and Tabali bet 35,000. Polk briefly considered his options before moving all in for approximately 140,000. Tabali made the call to put Polk at risk.

Doug Polk: KQ
Keanu Tabali: AQ

Polk was in bad shape against the bigger queen but still had outs in the form of an ace or a nine. Polk did not get what he needed on the J6 run out and his Main Event run came to an end while Tabali collected the last of his chips.

Hachem With Aces

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Nick Kiley opened from early position to 30,000. Everybody at the table folded to 2005 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Hachem in the small blind, who raised to 135,000. Kiley called, and a J22 flop was revealed by the dealer.

On this first street, Hachem continued with a bet of 80,000. Then Kiley decided to raise to 180,000, and Hachem called to see the turn 7.

Hachem checked to let Kiley bet 250,000. But it was a trap as Hachem check-raised all in. Covered with almost 700,000 chips, Kiley snap called.

Nick Kiley: KJ
Joe Hachem: AA

Kiley had a top pair with a very good kicker. But he couldn't do much against Hachem's aces, which held after the river Q. Kiley was eliminated on this hand, allowing Hachem to take the pot and increase his stack to 2,170,000 chips.

James' Continuation Bet Earns the Pot

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Daniel James raised 30,000 in the hijack, and both the hijack and Christian Roberts in the big blind made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of AQ5, and Roberts checked to James as he continued for 40,000. The hijack quickly folded and Roberts did the same.

Bradley Moskowitz is at the same table and has been quietly building his stack.

Two Streets of Value For Aziz Against Watts

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Renan Aziz opened with the AA to 40,000 and Steven Watts defended the big blind with the K3. On a K82 flop, Watts checked and subsequently called a continuation bet worth 35,000.

The 6 followed on turn and Watts checked again. Aziz bet 115,000 into 175,000 and Watts stuck around once more, which led them to the 7 river.

Once the former British football player checked, Aziz made it 240,000 to go. Watts laid down his top pair and avoided further damage to his stack.
