Georgios Sotiropoulos opened to 2,200 from under the gun. Alex Foxen called from the cutoff, but Ali Shahni in the big blind raised all-in for 31,500. Sotiropoulos folded but Foxen snap-called.
Ali Shahni: A♥Q♣
Alex Foxen: 9♦9♣
The board of J♥7♣K♦K♠8♥ was no help for Shahni who was eliminated.
Level: 8
Blinds: 600/1,200
Ante: 1,200
Seungmin Yu raised to 2,000 in middle position. Joris Ruijs, seated to his immediate left, raised all in to 10,600.
Action folded around to Niko Koop in the big blind. He went all in over the top with some 36,000 in chips. Yu made the call with his 32,800 stack.
Seungmin Yu: K♦Q♥
Joris Ruijs: K♣Q♣
Niko Koop: A♦J♦
The runout came 7♥3♠7♦8♦7♠ giving Koop the pot with his ace.
Matt Glantz raised to 2000 from under the gun. Sergi Escote then three-bet to 6,500 from the small blind and Glantz made the call.
The dealer revealed a 5♣9♣8♣ flop, Escote bet 6,200, and Glantz then raised to 14,000. Escote took some time before going all in, Glantz quickly sent his cards into the muck.
Attila Ivacson began the hand with a raise to 2,000 from early position. Edward Hatzakortzian opted to jam for his final 7,400 two seats over. The table folded to Fred Goldberg in the big blind, who went all-in over the top for over 80,000 in chips. Ivacson quickly folded to get out of the way, which sent Hatzakortzian and Goldberg to a showdown.
Edward Hatzakortzian: Q♣J♣
Fred Goldberg: A♦K♣
The flop was all sixes as it came 6♣6♠6♥, which was of no help to Hatzakortzian.
The 4♠ turn and the 3♣ river awarded Golderg the pot and the bounty as Hatzakortzian was eliminated.
Mustapha Kanit opened to 2,200 in the hijack, and Ketan Shah made the call in the cutoff.
Kanit led out for 2,000 on the K♠5♦A♥ flop, with Shah calling to see the 9♥ turn. Both players checked, and the dealer flipped over the J♥ river.
Kanit checked again, as did Shah who turned over Q♣J♣ for a pair of jacks. Kanit tabled K♦7♦ for a pair of kings to take down the pot.
All the chips went in the middle preflop between Mauro Ferreira, at risk for a remaining stack around 9,000, and Dennys Ramos who had made the call in the big blind.
Mauro Ferreira: Q♥Q♣
Dennys Ramos: 3♦2♥
The board brought no bad surprise to Ferreira with 8♣J♦2♦6♠J♥ to stay alive in the tournament.
Paulius Vaitiekunas started the action in the cutoff with a raise and Barak Wisbrod shoved next to him for 22,600. Douglas Lang decided to call in the big blind and after some thinking, Vaitiekunas also called all in with a stack worth 21,500 to create a three-way showdown:
Paulius Vaitiekunas: K♠J♠
Barak Wisbrod: 9♦9♣
Douglas Lang: A♥10♦
Wisbrod's hand stayed ahead throughout the board 5♠Q♥Q♣6♣8♥ and Wisbrod scooped the pot to triple up while Vaitiekunas made his way to the exit.
Deividas Kvaselis was all-in from early position and was called by Bayar Saran from the big blind with Kvaselis at risk as Saran just narrowly had him covered.
Deividas Kvaselis: A♥J♥
Bayar Saran: 7♣7♦
It was a race preflop, but that race saw a significant rift between the two hands when the flop came A♠A♣10♦ to give Kvaselis trip aces.
The Q♥ turn favored Kvaselis, and the 5♣ river completed the board to give Kvaselis the full double.
Saran was left on fumes with only 3,300 left after the loss. Saran was busted shortly after as he was seen getting up from his chair.
