Del Grosso Takes the Turn

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Javier Swett opened to 1,500 from the hijack, and Marcello Del Grosso replied with a three-bet to 3,600 on the button.

Swett made the call, and both players checked through the 77A flop. Another check from Swett followed the 5 turn, and Del Grosso fired a bet of 1,500.

That produced a quick fold from Swett, and Del Grosso collected the chips.

Mighall Sent Off by Zoufri

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Phillip Mighall was down to his final 6,200 when he elected to jam for all of it on the button. Hakim Zoufri obliged with a call from the big blind to send them to a showdown.

Hakim Zoufri: KK

Mighall held a nice hand to take a final stand, but he ran into the much better hand of Zoufri, who woke up with a monster in the big blind.

The flop brought no relief when it fanned out 2A8.

The K turn was the final blow as it upgraded Zoufri to a set. The 10 river was a cruel card as it did not matter, as Mighall was eliminated.

Marx Capitalizes

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

While Martin Kabrhel was strongly arguing with a floorman after he received a one-round penalty, Adrian Moreno opened to 1,300 from middle position and was called by Rania Nasreddine in the cutoff and by both players in the blinds.

Moreno continued for 1,800 on the 2J5 flop. Nasreddine called, but Daniel Marx in the small blind check-raised to 7,000. Both Moreno and Nasreddine called.

Marx bet 11,000 on the 4 turn. Moreno folded, but Nasreddine moved all-in for 10,900.

Daniel Marx: J10

Marx with a pair eliminated Nasreddine after the 2 was revealed, but she immediately reentered the tournament.

Zobian folded, but Hinton was not done with the hand and made the call.

Hinton checked the J62 flop before Madanzhiev continued for 3,500. Hinton responded with a raise to 10,000, and Madanzhiev did not take long before he pitched his cards towards the middle to end the hand.
