- Dan Bilzerian Rivers the Nuts and Gets Paid
Play resumes at 3:43 p.m. in Level 3 with blinds of 200/400, with a 400 big blind ante.
There were roughly 8,500 chips in the pot on 8♦10♣9♣8♣6♣.
Favio Gandelman in the small blind bet 3,000, then got called by Scot Robinson in the big blind, and Gregroy Cohn who was under the gun.
Gandelman quickly tabled his straight flush with K♠7♣, and Cohn who was clearly disappointed tabled his hand of A♣K♥, then Robinson flashed the Q♣.
Anthony Ostapenko checked the completed 9♣A♠3♦10♥10♠ board over to Martin Jacobson.
Jacobson fired a pot-sized bet of 16,500, to which Ostapenko quickly folded.
With 9,000 on the 3♠4♥10♣A♦ board and with around 10,000 in the pot. Gonzalo Velozo from the big blind and Nathaniel Shoshan out of the cutoff ended up getting all-in, with Velozo being the one at risk for his stack of 9.900.
Gonzalo Velozo: A♠A♥
Nathaniel Shoshan: 4♣4♠
Shoshan found a dream flop with middle set, but the brutal ace on the turn had catapulted Velozo into the lead with a higher set.
There was no miracle one outer on the river for Shoshan, as the 10♥ came to complete the board, and Velozo doubled with the higher boat.
Three-way to the A♠8♣10♠7♣ turn, it checked to Joshua Shapiro in the cutoff, who bet 3,500 into the pot of 13,000. Marcus McCarty called in the small blind, and Edi Neacsu followed suit under the gun.
McCarty checked in flow on the 5♠ turn, but Neacsu led out for 4,000. Shapiro then raised to 9,000, which McCarty called cold. Neacsu also called after some debate, and all hands were tabled.
Shapiro had a straight with J♣9♠. McCarty had rivered a flush with Q♠J♠, taking down the pot as Neacsu's 7♠6♠ only made a lower flush.
On the river of a K♥K♣8♦2♠10♣ board, Rebecca Lakepool in the big blind bet 6,000 into 10,000. Bharath Janardhan raised to 14,000 from under the gun and Lakepool instantly called to get shown the K♠10♠ for the nut full house by Janardhan, who was then visibly upset that he had mixed up the chips and was going to bet more.
Lakepool revealed her 2♥2♣ before sending the cards into the muck.
Shane Thorne raised to 800 under the gun, which Dan Bilzerian called two seats to his left before the big blind came along as well.
When the action checked to Bilzerian on a 8♣4♥5♥ flop, he bet 1,300. The big blind folded, but Thorne called.
It was the same pattern on the 10♣ turn: Thorne checked, Bilzerian bet 5,000, and Thorne called.
When the 9♦ river completed the board, and after Thorne had checked for a third time, Bilzerian fired a final bet of 12,000. Thorne threw in the chips to call, and tabled 10♥9♥. His running two-pair was no good, though, as Bilzerian tabled the nuts with Q♣J♠.
