Zhang Takes Down Three Way Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Julien Sitbon opened to 12,000 from early position, which gathered calls from Zi Long Zhang in the cutoff and Jeremy Wien on the button.

All three players checked on the 7A10 flop, but Sitbon picked his betting lead back up on the A turn. His 28,000 bet was called by Zhang, but got rid of Wien.

Sitbon hit the brakes on the Q river before folding when Zhang bet 73,000.

Kenny Hallaert drew the line in the sand when he shoved for 30,000 from under the gun.

Peter Mugar made the call out of the big blind to put Hallaert at risk.

Kenny Hallaert: QJAll in
Peter Mugar: A10

Hallaert was behind, but the flop gave him more outs when the dealer fanned out 9109 to give Hallaert a straight draw.

The K turn gave Hallaert a straight, but Mugar was still eligible with a full house draw.

The J river was not one of those outs as the chips got pushed to Hallaert.

Mullaly Defends His Big Blind Superbly

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joseph Spanne raised to 8,000 from the hijack, and Benjamin Williams called from the cutoff, and Myles Mullaly called from the big blind. The board came out with 58Q, and both Mullaly and Spanne checked to Williams, who was in position and placed a bet of 8,000. Mullaly called, and Spanne folded.

On the turn 8, Mullaly led out with 12,000, and Williams called.

The river 10 brought out a huge bet from Mullaly of 112,000, and Williams appeared stressed when he requested a count and then went into the think tank. Williams decided to call, and Mullaly immediately flopped over 98 for trips. Williams said, "Nice hand," and mucked.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Vladas Tamasauskas in middle position and Mark Ioli in hijack checked the 10KQ flop beside a 25,000 pot. After another check from Tamasauskas, Ioli fired 12,000 on the J turn. Tamasauskas called.

The river 3 got another check from Tamasauskas and Ioli put another 12,000 in. After a moment of thought, Tamasauskas raised to 30,000 sending Ioli to the tank.

"I almost checked there," said Ioli as he continued to consider his options. He finally made the call, just to muck his hand after seeing Tamasauskas table A5.
