2026 World Series of Poker
When it folded to Marc Rivera in the small blind, he jammed for 3,100,000. Qing Lu peeked at her cards before quickly making the call to put Rivera at risk.
Marc Rivera: J♠10♥
Qing Lu: K♣K♥
Rivera had shoved directly into Lu's premium pocket pair and needed help from the board to keep the tournament five-handed.
The A♥8♦5♦ flop was no help to Rivera, leaving him needing running cards to survive.
The 3♠ turn left Rivera drawing dead, making the 7♦ river a mere formality.
Rivera wished the remaining four players good luck as he exited in fifth place, while Lu's stack climbed to over 16,000,000.
Juan Rodriguez raised to 600,000 from the cutoff and Marc Rivera defended from the big blind.
Both players checked the K♦9♥5♦ flop to see the J♦ arrive on the turn. Rivera checked, and Rodriguez bet 500,000. Rivera tossed his cards into the muck.
A few hands later, Rivera raised to 600,000 from the button and Rodriguez jammed from the big blind, covering Rivera. Rivera didn't think long before folding.
Not long after, Rivera tried again by raising to 600,000 under the gun , and once more, Rodriguez moved all in, this time from the button. Rivera folded, leaving himself with 3,800,000 chips.
Juan Rodriguez limped from the small blind, and Chad Lipton took a shot for his tournament life and moved all in for 2,260,000. Rodriguez called.
Chad Lipton: A♣6♥
Juan Rodriguez: Q♥8♠
The board gave Lipton another life with 5♠10♣K♣K♠A♦, and two pair won the double-up pot.
Qing Lu limped in blind from the small blind, and Juan Rodriguez checked from the big blind. When the flop arrived with 9♥5♣Q♦, Lu checked still blind, and Rodriguez checked behind.
Both players checked the turn 4♦ and the river A♠.
Lu announced, "Ten high," and mucked when Rodriguez turned over K♠6♥ for a king-high win.
Qing Lu came in for a raise from the button to 600,000 and Chad Lipton defended from the big blind.
Lipton check-called a bet of 600,000 from Lu on the 7♠Q♦2♣ flop.
The A♥ joined on the turn, and Lipton check-called a second bet from Lu, this time for 1,200,000.
Lipton knuckled it over to Lu for the final time on the 5♥ river, and Lu fired a third and final barrel of 2,200,000.
The bet was for over half of Lipton's stack, and after giving it plenty of consideration, Lipton flicked in a chip to call.
Lu revealed A♦Q♥ for top two pair, and Lipton was forced to carve out the chips and send them across the table, leaving himself as the new short stack.
From the button, Nariman Yaghmai raised to 600,000 and Qing Lu called from the big blind.
Lu and Yaghmai checked through the K♦6♥7♥ flop and 4♥ turn.
Lu fired for 600,000 on the 10♠ river, and Yaghmai stuck in the call.
Lu tabled K♣3♥ for top pair, which was good enough to win the pot as Yaghmai mucked.
Chad Lipton limped from the small blind, and Nariman Yaghmai checked his option from the big blind. The flop came with A♥8♥6♠, and both players checked.
On the turn 6♣, Lipton took a stab and bet 400,000, and Yaghmai called.
On the river 5♥, both players checked, and Yaghmai flipped over 10♥8♣ for two pair and the win. Lipton showed Q♣2♦.
