Helppi Narrowing The Gap

Level 29 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Juha Helppi raised to 900,000 on the button and Eelis Parssinen called in the big blind.

The flop rolled out 743 to see both players check to the 5 turn, where Parssinen bet 1,000,000 to see Helppi call.

Parssinen sized up to 3,100,000 on the A river and Helppi tossed in a single chip to call.

"Straight," said Parssinen.

"How high?" asked Helppi as he tabled KK63 for a seven-high straight. Parssinen showed A1022 for a five-high straight, and Helppi closed the gap between himself and his opponent.

Helppi Doubles

Level 29 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Juha Helppi potted preflop to 900,000 and Eelis Parssinen called.

He then potted again on the Q42 flop. Parssinen jammed, and Helppi called off for his tournament life.

Juha Helppi: AQ95 All in
Eelis Parssinen: A766

Parssinen needed a club or a six, but the 103 runout left Helppi's queen in first place, prolonging the heads-up battle.

Juha Helppi raised to 650,000 on the button and Eelis Parssinen defended the big blind.

The flop rolled out A106 and Parssinen check-called a bet of 450,000 from Helppi.

Action checked down on the runout of 7A and Parssinen tabled 98 for a ten-high straight. Helppi shook his head and sighed as Parssinen continued to open the gap between them.

First Blood Parssinen

Level 28 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

In the first hand of heads-up play, Eelis Parssinen raised to 600,000 and Juha Helppi put in the call. He then checked over the 629 flop, at which point Parssinen bet out for 520,000. Helppi quickly check-raised to 1,500,000, and Parssinen called.

Helppi slowed down on the 7 turn with a check, and Parssinen slid a stack of 1,700,000 into the middle. Helppi called, and action checked through on the 6 river. Helppi's J8 was no good against Parssinen's top pair with 109.

Edward Leonard
Edward Leonard

No-Limit Hold'em

Edward Leonard raised to 1,100,000 on the button and in the big blind, Eelis Parssinen raised all in for 1,800,000 effective to see Leonard call to put himself at risk.

Edward Leonard: QJ All in
Eelis Parssinen: AQ

The flop rolled out AK4 to give Leonard a flush and leaving Parssinen drawing to only a running boat.

"We won!" said Leonard to his rail as the Q turn peeled off, not realizing the outs that Parssinen had picked up in the form of a boat. The river peeled off an A and Leonard walked back to the table to look at the board. "Oh we did not win."

Leonard wished his table mates luck as Parssinen added more to his chip lead.

"Runout master," Sean Winter said as Parssinen raked in the pot.

In some blind on blind, and Finn on Finn violence, Juha Helppi raised to 800,000 from the small blind. Eelis Parssinen made the call, and the two went off to a 48K flop. Helppi continued for 600,000, and Parssinen came along foe the call.

The 2 turn checked through, and Helppi checked the 3 river over, also. Parssinen then bet 1,745,000, putting Helppi into the tank. He asked how much was in the pot, to which the dealer let him know he couldn't answer. Eventually, he stuck in the call.

"Just a straight," said Parssinen with a smile. "I guess you can call me the runout master," he added, tabling A5 for a wheel. Helppi painfully mucked his cards.
