2026 World Series of Poker
Xiaoyao Ma raised to 1,000,000 on the button, and Markus Gonsalves called in the big blind.
The action checked through on the 5♠7♣5♦ flop, tempting Gonsalves to bet 1,000,000 on the 4♦ turn, which Ma called.
Gonsalves continued with a bet of 3,000,000 on the 10♠ river, and again, Ma called.
"You got it," Gonsalves said as he flipped over J♦2♦. Ma tabled A♥2♥ to claim the pot.
Markus Gonsalves won all three hands in the most recent orbit.
He first received a walk in the big blind before raising to 1,500,000 in the small blind and getting it through.
In the final hand, he raised to 800,000 on the button, which received two folds.
Action resumes, with just three players remaining in the 6-max.
Level: 33
Blinds: 200,000/400,000
Ante: 400,000
The final three players are headed to a first 15 minute break of the day.
Jeremy Izquierdo raised to 600,000 in the cutoff, and Daniel Rezaei raised to 3,300,000 on the button, leaving just 75,000 behind. Xiaoyao Ma called in the big blind, but Izquierdo folded.
The dealer spread a Q♦J♣9♥ flop, which saw Ma put Rezaei all in, and Rezaei called.
Daniel Rezaei: 5♥5♦
Xiaoyao Ma: A♥Q♣
Rezaei had two outs to win the pot, but found no help on the 6♥ turn and K♣ runout, ending his run in 4th place.
Markus Gonsalves raised to 1,200,000 from the small blind, and Xiaoyao Ma put in the call from the big blind.
The 10♥9♣8♥ flop checked through, and Gonsalves bet 900,000, which was snapped off by Ma. Ma then bet 3,500,000 on the 8♦ river when checked to, and Gonsalves quickly folded.
Dominykas Mikolaitis opened from the cutoff to 600,000. Action folded around to Markus Gonsalves in the big blind who opted to move all in, covering Mikolaitis' stack of 6,275,000. After some deliberation, the Lithuanian flicked in the call.
Dominykas Mikolaitis: A♣J♦
Markus Gonsalves: A♦Q♣
As if a queen in the window wasn't enough, the Q♦4♠Q♥ flop gave Gonsalves trips, much to the delight of his rail, and confined his opponent to runner-runner. The 5♦ turn sealed the elimination, with the 3♠ river a mere formality.
Xiaoyao Ma raised to 600,000 in the cutoff, and faced a three-bet to 2,500,000 from Jeremy Izquierdo in the small blind. The action folded back to Ma, who followed suit and mucked his hand.
A couple of hands after, Markus Gonsalves raised to 600,000, and this time it was Ma's turn to three-bet, making it 1,950,000. This time, it was Gonsalves who ceded to the re-raise, as he returned his cards to the dealer.
Daniel Rezaei opened to 600,000 from the cutoff and Markus Gonsalves called on the button. The blinds got out of the way, and the two checked down a flop of 4♦Q♥4♥
The A♣ turn checked through, also, allowing Rezaei to bet out for 375,000 on the 5♥ river. Gonsalves quickly called, with his Q♣J♥ trumping the 9♠9♦ of Rezaei.
The very next hand, Gonsalves made it 600,000 to go from the cutoff. Both blinds, being Dominykas Mikolaitis and Jeremy Izquierdo, made the call.
Action checked through on the 6♠Q♣K♣ flop, prompting Mikolaitis to bet out for 800,000 on the 10♦ turn. Only Gonsalves called, and the two checked down the 2♥ river.
Mikolaitis showed 5♦5♥ but Gonsalves had the best of it, taking down the pot with K♦3♠
