Allemann Doubles Through Shakerchi

Anton Allemann
Anton Allemann

From early position, chip lead Talal Shakerchi raised to 16,000. Anton Allemann reraised all in from the small blind for 150,000 even. Action moved back to Shakerchi and he made the call with the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Allemann held the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

THe flop contained a queen as the board ran out {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Allemann doubled up.

Bonomo Shoves Turn and Selbst

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Justin Bonomo bet 35,000 on the {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst called. Will Molson folded and the dealer dealt the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Bonomo fired another bet, this time wagering 85,000. Selbst raised to 170,000 and Bonomo went into the tank. Eventually, he reraised all in for 424,000. Selbst tanked long and hard. She spent several minutes thinking. After he raise, Selbst had approximately 410,000 behind, so this was a huge decision. In the end, she found a fold and Bonomo raked in the pot.

Gruissem Eliminated

Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

Philipp Gruissem was eliminated up on the feature table by Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel. Gruissem was all in preflop with {A-}{Q-}, but couldn't beat the pocket nines of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion. Duhamel moved to over one million in chips by busting Gruissem.

ElkY Doubles Again

We joined the action on a board of {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} and the two players in the hand were Sorel Mizzi (BB) and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (OTB). There was around 150,000 in the pot and Mizzi bet 53,000 and ElkY called. The river card was the {5-Spades} and Mizzi put ElkY all-in and the Frenchman called.

Mizzi showed {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} for the over pair, but ElkY was holding {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} for trips.
