Level: 12
Blinds: 15,000/30,000
Ante: 30,000
There was 465,000 in the pot, on the K♠8♥7♥ flop.
Ian Matakis and Dong Min Sun checked from middle positon and the hijack before Artur Martirosian made it 225,000 from the button.
Matakis folded but Sun jammed for under starting stack. Martirosian called.
Dong Min Sun: A♥J♥10♠2♣
Artur Martirosian: A♣K♦10♦6♥
Martirosian was ahead with a pair of kings while Sun had the nut-flush draw. Sun paired up on the 2♠ turn to add some extra outs but Martirosian made trips on the K♣ river for the elimination.
Daniel Negreanu and Joni Jouhkimainen limped in from middle position and the button. They both called when Artur Martirosian made it 125,000 from the small blind.
Martirosian checked the 10♠9♣6♣ flop, and Negreanu fired out 200,000. Jouhkimainen folded, and Martirosian did the same.
Lautaro Guerra called from the small blind, and fellow Spaniard Sergio Martinez Gonzalez checked from the big blind.
The A♦K♠5♠ checked through to the 6♠ turn. Guerra check-called for 25,000, but then check-folded to a bet of 95,000 on the 8♣ river.
Lautaro Guerra limp-called a raise by Gergo Nagy and they headed to the K♣8♠4♦ flop on which both invested 100,000 in chips. Guerra checked the 7♦ turn before he called a bet of 200,000. The J♠ river was then checked by both players and Guerra revealed the A♦K♦9♠6♠ for the top pair, which Nagy had beat with Q♦J♣8♦8♥ for a set of eights.
After Stephen Chidwick limped from the hijack, Dylan Weisman in the cutoff raised to 110,000. Carlo van Ravenswoud in the small blind re-raised to 380,000 to make Chidwick fold, but Weiman made the call.
The dealer spread a board of 6♠5♠4♠ and Van Ravenswoud bet to force Weisman to go all-in off his last 240,000.
Dylan Weisman: A♦K♠10♣6♦
Carlo van Ravenswoud: A♠A♥J♥5♦
"You have the nuts?" Weisman asked. "No," Van Ravenswoud answered before improving with the 5♣Q♠ runout to eliminate Weisman.
On the river of a 8♣5♣4♦7♠3♦ board, Stephen Chidwick in the big blind check-called a bet worth 165,000 by Robert Cowen on the button and then mucked when Cowen showed the 8♦8♠4♥4♣ for two sets.
Cowen then limped against Dylan Weisman in the big blind and the latter check-called the K♦J♥3♥ flop for 35,000. After the J♦ turn, Weisman led for 65,000 and folded when Cowen raised it up to 225,000.
Action was caught on the 8♣7♦8♠5♣ board. Santhosh Suvarna checked from the small blind, and Gergo Nagy fired out 175,000 into a pot of 730,000. Suvarna quickly surrendered, with his stack now below the starting 600,000.
On one table over, a 505,000 chip pot had brewed between Daniel Negreanu and Artur Martirosian.
On the completed 5♦10♦2♠K♦7♣ board, there was 505,000 in the pot. Negreanu bet 325,000 from the small blind. Martirosian used a couple time extensions, before calling.
"Straight flush," joked Negreanu, who had nine-high with 9♣6♥4♦3♥. Martirosian tabled J♠10♠10♥3♦ for a set of tens and took the pot.
The action was picked up on a board of 3♥5♣9♣8♥ with Philip Sternheimer in the big blind betting 225,000. Daniel Negreanu under the gun potted to 935,000 to make a third player fold.
Sternheimer went deep into the tank, but after using three of his time bank extensions, he folded.
