Daniel Negreanu just flat-called against a raise by Ian Matakis and then checked the A♣7♠5♠ flop on which he check-raised from 75,000 to 225,000. Matakis called and they got their chips into the middle after the K♣ turn with Matakis at risk for around 900,000.

Matakis was on the ropes and couldn't find a miracle on the 3♠ river to hit the rail in the second level of play.
Carlo Van Ravenswoud limped from under the gun and then called a raise to 135,000 by Sean Winter. On the 10♦9♣5♥ flop, Van Ravenswoud led for 160,000 and Winter called. The 5♠ turn paired the board and Van Ravenswoud checked, Winter bet 320,000 and won the pot.
Moments after Lautaro Guerra was eliminated by Chris Frank, Joao Simao who just arrived opened to 105,000 from the cutoff. Alex Foxen in the big blind three-bet to 350,000 and Simao called.
Foxen bet 350,000 on a flop of 4♥4♦2♣. Simao went into the tank and called off his last 270,000.

The K♥K♦ runout completed the boar and Simao doubled up.
There was 425,000 in the middle on the J♣Q♠2♦6♦9♣ board. Daniel Negreanu bet 300,000 from the small blind and folded out Joni Jouhkimainen and Alex Foxen to take the pot.
The very next hand Jouhkimainen called from under the gun, and then called when Michael Moncek made it 130,000 from the button.
Jouhkimainen checked on the Q♣9♦7♥ flop and Moncek continued for 225,000, which left him with around 750,000 behind. Jouhkimainen potted to put Moncek all-in, and the latter quickly called.

Moncek had a set of nines, and was ahead of Jouhkimainen's pair and straight draw. The J♣ turn gave Jouhkimainen outs to the boat but Moncek held out to double on the 3♣ river.
There was 120,000 chips in the pot on the A♠10♦6♥ flop. There was a bet of 50,000 out in front of Gergo Nagy, who was under the gun. Sergio Martinez Gonzalez called from the big blind.
Gonzalez check-called for 225,000 on the 4♠ turn before the 2♥ river checked through to showdown.
Gonzalez had a pair of aces with his AxQxXxXx, but Nagy had two pair with A♦J♣10♥5♦.
On the next deal, Jason Koon raised to 105,000 from the cutoff, leaving 235,000 behind. Lautaro Guerra made it 180,000 from the button and Koon called.
Koon check-called for his tournament life on the J♠8♠2♠ flop.

Koon flopped the flush to lock up the pot ahead of the 5♥Q♦ runout.
As the hand wrapped up, Martin Kabrhel joined the table.
First to act, Sean Winter raised to 105,000 and was called by Stephen Chidwick in the next seat. Santhosh Suvarna then jammed the button for 360,000 and Winter announced pot, which happened to be a reraise to 1,230,000.

The board ran out A♥J♥9♦Q♦8♦ and the ace-high flush of Winrer sent Suvarna to the rail.
Not long after he arrived at the table, Michael Moncek in the big blind was all-in and at risk for 570,000 against Artur Martirosian in the cutoff.

Deuces were good enough for Moncek to win the pot on 4♦9♦J♣7♠Q♦ and double up.

Suvarna's aces held on 9♥5♠8♣3♣6♥ and he doubled.
In a limped blind battle, Joni Jouhkimainen check-called the 10♠3♠2♣ flop for 60,000 and they checked the J♠ on the turn. Jouhkimainen then bet the 7♣ river for 60,000. Artur Martirosian called after some consideration but mucked when he was shown the 7♥5♠3♥2♠ for a flush.
In the meanwhile, Jason Koon has entered the field for his second bullet in the tournament one table over.
