2026 World Series of Poker
Level: 13
Blinds: 20,000/40,000
Ante: 40,000
After the first two levels of the day, the players in the $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha are on a 15-minute break. Late registration will close at the end of the break.
A big pot had brewed between Daniel Negreanu and Artur Martirosian.
The board read 9♠5♠Q♥K♣, and Negreanu checked from the big blind. Martirosian fired out 450,000 and was called.
The 6♦ completed the board and Negreanu checked. Martirosian sized up to 1,300,000, setting off Negreanu.
Negreanu couldn't believe that he bricked out, saying he had AxQx10x9x with spades, and folded.
Martirosian tabled QxJxJx8x for just a pair of queens, and Negreanu laughed after seeing the hand.
Martin Kabrhel raised from the button to 105,000, and then found himself covered in water as Chris Frank accidentally spilt Kabrhel's Stanley cup of water over the five-time bracelet winner, which Kabrhel didn't like at all. However, the table found some amusement.
Kabrhel called over his assistants to help clean up the mess, and get him some napkins as he tried to dry himself off. Frank was grinning like a cheshire cat. The floor came over and handed Kabrhel a flannel, and then fist-bumped Frank.
"Oh, so now you have a sense of humor," Kabrhel said to the floor.
As that took place, Jason Koon called from the big blind.
Koon check-called for 45,000 on the Q♥10♥9♣ flop, with Kabrhel's last 300,000 going in on the 3♠ turn. Koon called.
Martin Kabrhel: A♠J♥8♦6♥
Jason Koon: A♦J♠8♣6♠
Both players had the same hand, and the pot was chopped after the 3♣ river.
Alex Foxen raised from the cutoff and called a pot-sized three-bet by Daniel Negreanu shortly after his double up. The¥ headed to the 9♠8♠8♣ flop on which Negreanu bet the pot and Foxen was at risk for around 570,000.
Alex Foxen: K♣K♠Q♥8♥
Daniel Negreanu: A♥A♠10♥7♥
The J♣ turn gave Foxen a few more outs with the gutshot but the 5♦ river ended his second bullet.
On a three-way flop of A♣J♥4♣, Sergio Martinez Gonzalez bet the pot for 535,000 in the big blind. Robert Cowen called all-in for around 350,000 before Richard Gryko pushed all-in from the button for around 875,000 which the Spaniard called.
Robert Cowen: 8♣6♠5♥3♣
Richard Gryko: A♠J♦9♣5♠
Sergio Martinez Gonzalez: A♦K♦Q♣3♠
Gryko was ahead with the top two pair while Cowen was had outs to a flush and gutshot wheel draw.
The 7♦ turn changed nothing much except that Cowen picked up even more straight outs to survive. However, Martinez Gonzalez hit the Q♥ river for aces and queens to send both shorter stacks to the rail. Cowen re-entered almost immediately to another table.
Sam Soverel in early position found himself at risk for 170,000 against Martin Kabrhel in the hijack.
Sam Soverel: K♦K♣J♠5♦
Martin Kabrhel: A♠Q♣10♥7♥
Kabrhel said that he had the best hand on 5♣J♣2♣Q♦8♥, but Sovere did have the best hand and doubled up.
After two limps, Alex Foxen on the button raised to 165,000. Joao Simao in middle position re-raised and Foxen moved all-in for a total of 415,000.
Alex Foxen: A♦K♥6♦4♣
Joao Simao: K♦Q♥J♦J♠
Foxen hit a runner-runner straight with the Q♣10♠7♣8♦5♠ runout and doubled-up
Martin Kabrhel called from the small blind, and called again when Chris Frank made it 90,000 from the big blind.
Kabrhel check-folded ot a bet of 210,000 on the A♦Q♣9♦ flop.
I think this tournament might be too tough for me," Kabrhel said.
"Your smartest take so far," replied Frank, which Kabrhel wasn't a fan of.
On the next deal, Kabrhel raised to 60,000 from the button. Frank and Jason Koon called from the blinds.
It checked to Kabrhel on the A♦7♦7♣ flop, and he bet 35,000. Frank made it 90,000 and only Kabrhel called.
The A♥ turn and 10♣ river checked through to showdown.
Frank was bluffing with 5♠5♦3♥3♦, and Kabrhel's trips with Q♦8♥7♥4♣ took the pot.
