Miki and Frank Get Shorter

Level 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu check-raised a flop of A88 from 80,000 to 225,000 and Sean Winter folded to get shown the KJ84.

Negreanu then raised the button to 280,000 and Yosuke Miki defended the big blind, then check-folded the J54 flop to a bet of 400,000.

The next limped multi-way pot was checked to the Q722 turn on which Miki bet 320,000 and Chris Frank called. They checked the 10 river and Miki showed the 9832, but was out-kicked by Frank with the J2XxXx.

Frank limped the next small blind and Robert Cowen checked to the AK7 flop, on which Frank bet 80,000. Cowen raised to 280,000 and Frank called. They checked the Q turn and Frank bet the 3 river for 270,000, earning a call from Cowen.

"Just the ace," Frank said and flashed an ace with rags, Cowen won the pot with his AQ32 for aces and queens.

Soon after that, the action was checked to the 4333 turn on which Cowen and Negreanu checked. Frank bet 105,000 and Cowen called. The 10 river brought a bet of 90,000 by Cowen and Frank raised to 375,000. Cowen reraised to 790,000 and Frank folded.

Sternheimer Flops a Flush

Level 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Philip Sternheimer opened to 220,000 from the cutoff and Artur Martirosian called from the small blind. The 743 flop checked through to the 6 turn, where Sternheimer check-called for 150,000. Sternehimer then check-called for 450,000 on the 5 river.

"You win," said Martirosian, who could only show J1088. Sternheimer had AA92 and took the pot with a flush.

Lauraro Guerra Eliminated in 11th Place ($204,938)

Lautaro Guerra was eliminated by Artur Martirosian, and the hand was recapped by Sergio Martinez Gonzalez.

Martirosian raised to 210,000 from the button before Guerra three-bet from the big blind. Martirosian reraised and Guerra called for his stack of around 1,200,000.

Miki Holds to Double

Daniel Negreanu called from the hijack before Yosuke Miki made it 360,000 from the button. Robert Cowen potted from the big blind, folding out Negreanu. Miki called all in for his stack of 850,000.

Negreanu Wins Two in a Row

Four-way on a flop of Q710, Daniel Negreanu under the gun bet 150,000 and he was only called by Robert Cowen in the big blind.

Both players checked the 7 turn and Cowen checked the 7 river as well. Negreanu bet 350,000 and he made Cowen fold.

In the next hand, Cowen now in the small blind bet 325,000 on 946. Negreanu in the big blind called while Yosuke Miki in the cutoff folded.

Cowen and Negreanu checked the K turn leading to the 6 river which was checked by Cowen. Negreanu bet 800,000 and Cowen folded once gain.

Martirosian Pulls Further Ahead

Level 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus check-called a bet of 300,000 on the 8322 when Artur Martirosian bet and then checked the 10 on the river. Martirosian bet 800,000 and Ausmus let go.

Philip Sternheimer then opened to 200,000 in the cutoff and was called only by Gergo Nagy in the big blind. The duo headed to the AKJ flop on which Nagy check-folded when Sternheimer made it 105,000 to go.

Martirosian raised his next button to 210,000 and Lautaro Guerra was the one to call from the big bind. The 985 flop brought with it a check from Guerra and Martirosian asked, "can I see your stack?" Martirosian then bet 325,000 and Guerra folded.

In a limped pot to the JJ2 flop, Robert Cowen bet 90,000 and Yosuke Miki in the small blind was the only caller. They checked the 9 turn and Miki asked for the size of the pot on the 8 river. Miki then bet 200,000 and Cowen called with a queen-high straight, which Miki had beat holding the QJ62 for jacks full of deuces.

The next limped pot brought a AJ6 flop on which Sean Winter in the cutoff bet 125,000. Miki called on the button and the 7 came on the turn. Winter now bet the pot for 650,000 and Miki folded.

Negreanu Scores Huge Double Against Winter

On the final hand before the short break, Daniel Negreanu opened to 210,000 from the button. Sean Winter and Yosuke Miki called from the blinds.

Winter led out for 235,000 on the K53 flop, and only Negreanu called.

Winter checked the Q turn, and Negreanu fired out 750,000. Winter potted it to 3,150,000 and snap-called when Negreanu jammed for 3,905,000.

"You don't have kings do you?" Negreanu asked Winter. Negreanu breathed a small sigh of relief after Winter tabled his hand.

Negreanu was ahead with a set of fives, but any ace, four, jack or heart would give Winter the winner.

The final card was red, but luckily for Negreanu, it was the 3 and he filled up to become one of the chip leaders.
