The remaining 31 players are going on a 40-minute dinner break. Action should resume around 7:15 p.m. local time.
Drama at the (dinner) buzzer!
Lukas Pazma opened to 80,000 in the hijack and Karsten Knoebel called from the cutoff. Ratmir Kesidis also called on the button, before Paul Knebel shoved for around 1,500,000 in the big blind. Pazma called off his stack of around 750,000, Knoebel called 800,000, and Kesidis took some time and eventually folded.
Lukas Pazma: K♠Q♠
Karsten Knoebel: A♠A♦
Paul Knebel: A♣8♠
Knoebel's flat with aces preflop had him on the brink of a triple-up, and the 6♣3♦3♣ flop put him mostly in the clear. That was until the 4♣ hit the turn, which gave Knebel the nut flush draw and a chance to scoop the lot.
However, the the 10♠ river wasn't dramatic as Knoebel's aces held up, which earned him a triple. Pazma was eliminated, and Knebel's stack took a pounding.
The rest of the field had already left on break while Silviu Baltateanu and Georgios Tsouloftas continued to tangle in a pot.
Tsouloftas had three-bet to 320,000 in the small blind before Baltateanu moved all in for 1,015,000 in the hijack. Tsouloftas tanked for a few minutes into the break, but he eventually called to put Baltateanu at risk with most of his stack in the middle, as well.
Silviu Baltateanu: A♦A♠
Georgios Tsouloftas: A♥Q♣
Baltateanu slammed down his aces and began filming the action as the board ran out 2♥3♣7♦5♦6♦, earning him the massive double up and leaving Tsouloftas with just two big blinds for after the break.
Action folded to Antonello Ferraiuolo in the small blind who moved all in, and Stanislav Koleno called for 530,000.
Stanislav Koleno: A♠9♥
Antonello Ferraiuolo: K♣5♥
Koleno hit top pair on the A♦Q♠4♣ flop, and Ferraiuolo was already drawing dead after the 8♣ turn. The river was the 5♠ and Koleno doubled up.
Amit Buganim moved all in for 225,000 in the small blind and Christian Schneider called in the big blind.
Amit Buganim: 7♠6♥
Christian Schneider: A♣3♥
Schneider hit top pair on the 4♥Q♦A♥ flop, then improved to trips on the A♠ turn to leave Buganim drawing dead. The river was the 7♥ and Buganim was sent to the rail.
Cheng Zhao moved all in for 315,000 in middle position and Adrien Sanz called for his last 285,000 in the small blind.
Adrien Sanz: K♥K♣
Cheng Zhao: A♦10♦
Sanz had woken up with kings, but Zhao found an ace on the A♥8♥4♣ flop to take the lead. Sanz picked up a flush draw on the 4♥ turn, but the 5♦ river was no help and he was sent to the rail.
