In a hand that extended into the break, Craig Varnell raised to 3,000,000 from the hijack. Benjamin Ector considered what to do from the big blind.

"I'm not folding, Ben," Varnell said.

Undeterred, Ector moved all in with just under 10,000,000 chips. Varnell, indeed, made the call.

Benjamin Ector: A4All in
Craig Varnell: 107

Ector was in good shape through the flop 323, but the turn and river of KQ brought a runner-runner flush for the elimination.

Will Ector be a Chip and Chair Story?

Level 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Benjamin Ector was forced all-in in the big blind with only 900,000 chips. Fabian Niederreiter on the button limped for 1,200,000. Spencer Gore in the small blind folded leaving the two remaining players to head to showdown.

Benjamin Ector: KJ All in
Fabian Niederreiter: K10

Ector had Niederreiter dominated and stayed in the lead through the runout of A4874. Ector survived to be able to go all-in a few hands later and quadruple up.

In hijack, Ector shoved his 2,800,000 chips and got three callers in Yibo Song on the button and the blinds, Craig Varnell in small and Niederreiter in big.

The flop came 936. After two checks, Song fired 2,000,000 that got the two blinds to fold.

Benjamin Ector: 1010 All in
Yibo Song: A6

The moment the hands were tabled and Varnell saw Ector was ahead with his tens, he fumed and said to Song, "Dude, what are you doing?"

The dealer continued with a 8 which gave Ector an opportunity to improve. At this point Varnell was already pacing looking absolutely frustrated.

The dealer completed the board with a 5 giving Ector a one-card flush prompting Varnell to say, "I had a King of Hearts." Song defended his bet at this point as the dealer pushed the pot to Ector, who was just so happy with luck.

Shant Marashlian: AK All in
Mauro Sosa: 99

Yan Stays Alive With Queens

Level 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Jinghan Yan shoved all in from the button with his last 5,400,000 chips. Shant Marashlian made the call from the big blind.

Jinghan Yan: QQAll in
Shant Marashlian: 77

Marashlian's hand was crushed by the overpair and the runout K1010J2 provided no help.

This marked the second time he has doubled a player up from his big blind, and he has lost some 20,000,000 chips since a table change one level prior.

James Murphey shoved all in in middle position for 14,700,000. Jana Helmig did her own jamming for 12,000,000. When action folded around, the two remaining players went to showdown.

Jana Helmig: AK All in
James Murphey: AJ

Murphey got on his feet and said, "I'm using my one time now." And repeated it as if making a request to someone. The flop then came 23J pushing him the lead. He watched as he fidgeted on his feet unable to stand still.

No help came for Helmig on the 2 turn. Murphey cheered when the J river gave him trips and a chance to continue his run.

Marashlian Unhappily Pays Price

Level 37 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Shant Marashlian had barely turned his new chair around so he could sit with it facing backward when he was faced with an all-in from Toby Price in the hijack.

In his first hand at a new table, Marashlian defended his big blind with a call.

Toby Price: J8All in
Shant Marashlian: A4

The runout went extremely well for Price from the start, as he flopped trip eights and took a double-up though the full board of 88A4Q.

"Jack-eight, really?" a stunned Marashlian said.
